Why Biomass?

Considering the current fossil fuel supply in the world, their increasing prices, environmental impact and the rising need for energy, there is an increased demand for alternative energy sources. One of the possible solutions for additional energy supply are biofuels – raw materials in solid, liquid and gaseous form produced from biomass either of plant and/or animal origin.

Besides negative impact of energy use, rising awareness of plastic usage and it’s long term decompensation properties leads to research and development of new, environmentally friendly and biodegradable raw materials and technology of their processing.

Biomass has been often topic of scientific researches in all fields regarding to industry – from agriculture, through chemistry to engineering, and similar.

Results of these studies clearly demonstrate that biomass is high quality raw material for many industries: Biofuels, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, paper and carpentry industry and similar.
